On Thursday, the Jr Boys Prep Basketball team began the Hodan Classic with a win over Cali Prep Green, winning 77-48. The win was important as it put CPC in the championship side of the tournament's bracket.
Later in the day, the boys James Cardinal McGuigan Prep, 66-47, in the quarter finals. The win helped the team advance to Saturday's semi finals.
On Saturday, the boys continued their momentum with a convincing 82-66 win over the host, Hoden Prep. This put CPC in the championship against Cali Prep.
The boys continued their strong play running away with the championship, with a 79-43 win. This is CPC's first tournament win of the year. Jaylen Shepherd was named MVP and Kvontae Walters was voted a tournament all-star. The boys now move to an overall record of 6-1 on the season.
