Yesterday afternoon the U14 D3 Boys basketball team hosted the final four tournament. The boys have been working incredibly hard all season long and they were confident going into the semi-final game against Montcrest. Throughout the game each team played a strong game on the offensive and defensive ends of the court. Unfortunately, Montcrest took the lead and never looked back.
In losing this semi-final game, the boys played in the third place game against Lauremont. As they have done all season long, they have come back from adversity and played a very strong game - a complete team effort, as Fletcher Peskin, Alexander Liao, A.J Guerriero, Radin Sadegui, and Rashad Sogeke played a vert strong two way game. We cant forget about Tristian De Klek with another strong game, getting a basket, as his speed was a pivotal factor to the game. Jonah Greenspoon with his spot on shooting, Max Schembri with his strong ball control, and last but definitely not least, the positive play from Cooper MIltchin as he was a big contributor to the team all season along. Liam Lilford and Ferdinand Oettel for his strong team play, positive attitude and his natural leadership ability, and the dynamic trio of Evan Chen, Nemo Chen and Torres Wu.
We must mention out two players who were injured for the game Cole Mirsky, who displayed high quality play all season long as well as his leadership, and Egan Bekkevold who consistently all season long worked hard in practice and carried that into the game.
The team would like to thank our incredible manager Tino Margaronis for his support all season long. The boys were victorious by the score of 50-28, taking 3rd place for the season. The future of basketball here at Crestwood looks bright. Mr.Pagano would like to thank all of the players for a great season.
