The Crestwood Senior Girls' Flag Football team kicked off their 2025 season yesterday at home against BSS. After their disappointing "defeated" season in 2024, they were looking to return to their winning ways. The team wasted little time in doing so, scoring on their second play from scrimmage on a 55-yard touchdown run from quarterback Grace Van Volsen.

The Crestwood defense was elite, as was the offense, though they struggled to convert, adding only one more score, a 25 yard TD pass from Van Volsen to wide-received Brynn Rice.

Crestwood held on tight to their lead and never let go, closing out an exciting, if a little too close for comfort, victory to go to 1-0 on the season. The team looks to carry that success into their second match up Wednesday at Havergal College.
