U14 Boys Soccer gets first win of the season

The U14 Boys Soccer team got their season off on the right foot with a hard fought 1-0 win against Sterling Hall School.

The Lions didn't waste anytime, putting immense pressure on the opposition from the first whistle. That pressure was rewarded with a beautiful right footed shot from 25 yards out by Wesley Ireland, that cleared the keepers outstretched fingers.

From that point on it was a back and forth battle. Kai Louie, Miles Cheng and Wesley Ireland controlled the center of the park, giving use chance after chance to increase the lead. Unfortunately, we couldn't find the back of the net again.

Sterling Hall starting to fight back and produced a number of strong chances of their own, but Max Schembri stood tall in goal and kept a clean sheet. Special shout outs to Eli Turnbull, Ethan Esteireiro and Griff Hewson for holding down the back line and preserving the win.

It was an all-around team effort and a great was to start of the season.
