The U14 Boys Slo Pitch team traveled to UCC on Tuesday to play their second tri meet of the year. First up, was St. Andrew's. SAC got their bats going early and raced out to an early lead. Despite CPC rallying to score 5 runs in the third, it was not enough at SAC cruised to a 15-5 victory. Up next was UCC and the boys knew they could play better.

Against UCC, the team played their best game of the year. They got out to a 5-0 lead and even after UCC tied the game, they rallied to take and 8-5 lead into the 5th and final inning. And then the boys had their best inning of the year. The first 7 batter scored in the opening inning and CPC led 15-5 going to the bottom half. However, after a UCC grand slam, the lead was cut to 15-10. Coach Smith called a time and after a meeting on the mound with the infield, CPC got the final out and won their first game of the year. 

Big shout out to Nemo on two home runs on the day, Charlie on his triple, some great pitching by Knox, and excellent defense by Fletcher at third. 

The boys are back in action next Tuesday when they take on Sterling Hall at Fenside Park, 3:00 PM
