The Varsity Girls Hockey team traveled to Rinx this past Wednesday to open their CISAA season against Havergal.

Dottie Tamburo got CPC on the board in the first, then helped set up Mia Meyer in the 2nd to give CPC a 2-0 lead. However, inconsistent play allowed Havergal to stay in the game and after a careless turnover, the score was now 2-1.

CPC then began a parade of penalties giving Havergal multiple opportunities on the power play. Thank goodness for Avah Sedore who shut the door. 

Neve Thatcher buried an empty netter to seal a 3-1 win.

The girls play their first home game next week at Fenside against BSS.
