The Varsity Girls Hockey team took on Havergal yesterday at Leaside Arena. Their previous match up, CPC had difficulty putting the Gators away and narrowly escaped with a victory.

This game would be different. After a slow first period, the girls managed a 1-0 lead. Then they took the game over. The Lions dominated the period scoring three times and putting the game out of reach. They would add one more in the 3rd and cruise to a 5-0 victory. 

Neve Thatcher, Sarah Staley, and Gem Winter-Minott all contributed with a goal and an assist in the game.

The Lions look forward to hosting Appleby next Wednesday (at Pleasantview) in a game tha will likely determine first place in the league.
