The Varsity Girls Hockey team traveled to Nichols School this past Wednesday. This was their first game against Nichols since they knocked CPC out of the playoffs last year in overtime.

The girls came out strong and played well from the opening face off. Dottie scored early in the game after Grace made a great play to set her up. Neve Thatcher would add another goal late in the first after being left alone in front of Nichols' net.

Grace then put CPC up 3-0 early in the third, however Nichols would answer back to make the score 3-1. The teams traded chances but then CPC put the game away late in the second with 2 shorthanded goals scored by Grace and Andy.

In all, Grace tallied 4 points (2 goals, 2 assists) and Gem had 2 assists. 

The team is back in action next week as they travel to Appleby to take on the 2 time defending CISAA champions.
